She's 4.

And I cant believe it!!! Whyyyyy does time go SO quickly once you have kids!

Well, as always, we make each kids birthday, all about them, all day long. Our little girl woke up with a scratchy throat, and I had the worst feeling that she was going to be sick on her birthday. (Little brother ended up having Bronchial Pneumonia! Glad we got him in for some strong meds to kick this junk!) So she wakes up, wanders out to me and Daddy and we say 'HAPPY BIRTHDAY!' and she gets the cutest grin on her face. :D We set her on the counter in the kitchen to get our morning smoochies, and Sean asks her if she wants a cupcake for breakfast...well. Duh she is going to say yes! (We made her eat some eggs too haha)

I got the idea to die batter of pinterest. Worked well, just next time I will use even more die, to make bolder colors. 

Then at about 1 her family and friends came over to celebrate her day. The 1st time a majority of my family saw our new addition. They loved it, of course. And I tell ya, what a difference that made when it came to hanging out..all that extra space for people to spread out worked out great. There was about 23 adults in our house, and about 8 kids..I think it went well. We never had family functions here before because our house was too small to squeeze everyone in. Now I think we can do it!

Where is my Panorama Post?!

I did a post from my phone called Panorama, but it isnt showing up on my blog! I think because my phone was lagging so badly, I ended up doing a facroty reset on it this morning.
It was a short post, just showing  panoramic cell phone shot (Im not so good at that with my phone lol) of our room in its current state, so I will post it now, and if for some reason the other post does show up, I appologize for the double. ;)

I love having this extra space. In the corner next to the TV is where the kids do their coloring and activity books, its also a hope chest type table so they do have some toys stored in there for quick access :) I was hoping the picture on the TV would show up. I was watching storage wars. I love that show, and so does Siara. But I really love seeing what they find!

Being Goofy

Sunday we went to dinner to celebrate my Dad's birthday, and since my brother is pretty much living with us while he does things at Church, we were playing with his iPhone before we left. This one cracks me up..he was being a 'creeper' in the background..I cant look at it without laughing. Im probably really cracking up now, because I realize that probably no one else will think its as funny as me. :)

And, as you can tell Im wearing red lip stick! Oooh baby! I've been playing around with my make-up alot more. And having a lot of fun doing it. Probably this weight Im slowly losing is helping boost my self confidence. :) The only problem, sometimes I look at the prices of make-up, and although I want it..it is so stinkin' expensive! Im out to find a good quality, but not SO expensive make-up. That's a mission for me.

Sooo..Im waiting for Sean to get home. That's why Im on here at this hour. I've got the kitchen cleaned up, his dinner plated and waiting and the kids are winding down with a show they like to watch. I figured that once I started typing this he would walk thru the door, but that hasnt been the case yet. Haha. I think Im so anxious becuase I painted the kitchen today, and he didnt know. I was tired of the yellow and painted it a tan color. It looks really great with out white cabinets. That, I need to paint again, and would also like to purchase nobs for. Owning a home is a never-ending project. :)

Off and running!

So, my facebook page is going well! 30 likes already! WooHoo! And two jobs lined up! Well, one is going to get back to me in April as the weather gets nicer, and the second is for the end of March. :) Im excited! Im so looking forward to getting to do this more, and getting better at it as well. I really like the more natural/rustic photography. Some people are into the real light edited colors, where it looks almost 'bleached' I do like those, and would be willing to do that for a customer. I just really appreciate the natural beauty of the actual surroundings. :) Here is an example with a picture of my boy from the beach. :) The second one is how I prefer, but like I said. Im willing to edit how the customer would like to make them happy.

So anyway, I did a contest on my Facebook photography page, and it ends tomorrow. It gets the winner a free photo session! WooHoo! Im excited to see who the winner is!

Im getting our family room all moved into. I will take pictures soon and post those. This weekend is Siara's birthday party, and I really want to get the kitchen painted before then. We will see if I can get to that this week.

I've recently started doing Bible study with an old friend from Jr High/High school..its great! We read a chapter twice a week and email back and forth. Its so great to see someone else's perspective on things, and also not feel silly saying your own. Totally awesome.

Im thinking the hot tub is calling my name..my back is really hurting for some reason. Time for a good soak!



BUSY!!

Yes, I am alive. :)

We are done with the family room. YAHOO! I will add pictures soon, but Im not finished decorating. ;-) Im so excited about this extra room, and also still in disbelief that ITS REAL!!! We added a good chuck of extra square footage, and I can tell the difference already. :D

I started a Facebook page for my photography. Found here :) Eek! I spent a long and hard time thinking about what to charge for my services. I prayed about it, asked friends about it, and then thought about it some more! I want people to be able to take pictures of their families, but I know some cant afford to fork over the $250 some photographers charge. I decided I feel like $50 is reasonable for future clients. But I also feel like I would be willing to accept less if a family cant afford to pay that, I love the fact that pictures capture memories forever, and I'd hate to know a family was without cause they couldnt afford it.(I KNOW how this is to be low on money..been there many times! hehe) that $50 would give the client an hour and a half session, with editing and a CD with rights full of all the pictures. Obviously, if a client wanted a photo session that was longer, or more detailed we could talk about pricing then. :) Hopefully that is a reasonable amount for families. I am very passionate about this and want to help people capture memories of their families. Still nervous though, I cant believe people like my pictures!!! (And Im SURE there are some that dont, and thats ok too! hehe)

I have a lot of 'purging' to do the rest of this week. Cleaning, getting rid of stuff and re-organzing our new space. If any of my friends love garage sales, the first full weekend in may is called Mayday weekend, and in Eatonville the whole dang town does garage sale! We will be having one too, to help make funds for our Alaska trip this year. Ill re-post a reminder, but it is a great weekend to come walk around town and hit up LOTS of garage sales. I usually leave my own sale and go buy others stuff..never good for me ;-)

This is Sean almost spot on. Sean is TOTALLY happy go-lucky, and TOTALLY not wanting to grow up. Gambling isnt one of his favorites because he hates to lose his money, and he isnt SUPER outgoing until you get to know him. He likes to sit back and check things out, but once you get him started..game over. ;-)

This describes my Siara pretty darn well. We ask her, how was pre-school? Good. What did you do? Cant tell you, its top secret. I wouldnt say we could tell if she is unrealistic yet, because at her age, everything is possible. She can be VERY sensitive and very sympathetic. You should have seen her when I was sick, such a little mommy.

Taurus (Silas)

Oh, I had to laugh when I read this. My precious boy. Has the temper of a Bull. It's almost hilarious to watch him when he gets upset. He clenches his little fists, shakes them and does a little growl. He doesn't hit or anything so that's good, I think that's why its so funny to watch. He is very patient at the same time, he can sit and try to put something together for quite a while for a little man his age. 

Gone With The Flu.

I'm feeling very un-healthy as of late. Last week I spent in what I thought was pure misery, until early Sunday morning at 2am I woke up with this nasty stomach flu. I won't go into detail, but it creates an excess of stomach acid, and my body was making sure it wasn't staying in my system. Today, I'm finally starting to feel a bit better, minus the awful headache. I drank gaterade and ate some bread, and so far am doing OK. Fingers crossed.

Tomorrow the painter comes, and this weekend we hook up all the lights and do the floor next week. I'm looking forward to the Superbowl this year only because of all the yummy food my mom and I are going to make. Plus, not eating for 2 days almost everything is sounding super delicious. But I'm a bit scared to eat. :)
